I (Stevie Critoph) am a skilled web designer/programmer who is willing to work for less than average pay in order to expand my portfolio. Please contact me if you need a website or have any questions about my prices, what I am willing to do, how long it will take, etc. For the most part, since I do this kind of thing full-time, I can work very efficiently as I communicate with you about my progress. I am well-versed in web programming languages (such as HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Flash, etc.), enough so that I feel I am able to create almost any type of website you want (by the way, I refuse to spell it "web site"; it clearly should be a compound word).

I can add code and functionality to a site you have designed, or I can design you an appealing, easy to navigate website, while providing rough drafts and progress reports so that it's exactly what you want. I can even go all out with drawings and Flash like I did with StraightBullyism.com and CoozyMcMillan.com. I am a perfectionist, thus I will provide clean, commented code and easy to understand instructions on any ins and outs of the site. If you ever have problems, you can email me and I'll fix it free and right away. I specialize in cartoony/fun designs, but I can do professional designs as well.

Voice Acting Portfolio

In the voice acting portfolio, you can click a head and it will say a voice, or click a title and it will take you to a page with just that head. The main voice acting page only loads a screenshot of each head, and when you click a head it loads the animation on top; so it loads quickly instead of incredibly slowly (because the audio quality/file size is high). The ability to submit new voices through the administrator page saves tons of time and it works great.

Improved Sidebar Sorting

When you click an archive or category on the sidebar, it lists it in chronological or alphabetical order in case there are too many pages to go through. Also, there is a scrollbar after a certain amount of entries so that the sidebar is never too long.

Coozy McMillan is a web comic site. I went for a really simple, easy layout, and decided to make it very thin, so it fits the vertical comics perfectly. I also added in a simple, well-functioning forum that also made it possible to post comments directly under comics.

The site design took a day, and small pieces were added later such as the archive, about page and forum.

Most of the features of this new version of Snubby Land that I created were present in the old version (which was also very comprehensive). However, there are a few new features in this version that the old one didn't have. Admins are now able to embed images, Flash files, and even Youtube videos with simple BBCODE, and all files embedded in a post are automatically scaled to fit the window (and you can pop up a larger version). On the administrator panel there is also fully operational and comprehensive file upload system, as well and content posting made safe and easy by a solid back-end code. One new feature is that if you messed up when submitting something you no longer have to start over again. It remembers the parts of what you wrote that were right and keeps them, and highlights in red the parts you did wrong and clears them.

For visitors of Snubby Land, finding things is made easier by a search bar, able to search any section of the website with accuracy. Browsing the site is also made easier by a mini-sitemap found just below the header of any page, which tells you exactly where you are and how you got there. There is also a spam-proof, secure contact page where visitors can email us directly from that page. For organization, content in all sections of the site are organized by archive (year submitted), and where applicable category/genre.

Most pages of the website have completely valid code (see the footer of any page for validity-checkers), but there are very few minor errors on some pages, however it doesn't affect how they show up to the visior.

B-GROUP PRODUCTIONS

For the B-Group Productions website, I was asked to take the design they gave me and build the HTML, then make the site dynamic and easy to update with an administrator form made using PHP. So I ended up doing that, but also changing around the design a bit so that it looked better. The final site had all the things I mentioned, several content portals with media popups, a "B-Group's Latest" listing, and a contact page with an email form.

Below are some pictures of the website. Just a reminder though, I didn't come up with the design, I just wrote the HTML.

For the Canadian Entrepreneurial Opportunists website, my job was to make the layout and design of the website, build the HTML code, arrange all text and images, and program an email form for the contact page using PHP.

I later modified my original design for the website into what the clients thought looked better, but the pictures below are from the original (better) design.
