So like I said in the last post, I hadn't been working much since I finished Little Wing. In the last 3 days, I had managed to get my motivation up enough to actually start working a lot on my new game (details in the future)! Unfortunately, at the end of yesterday around like 8:00 PM, I restarted my computer because Norton asked me to. I then went to take a dump. When I returned, it said it couldn't load my desktop, and it had to restore my computer to like, the last backup or something. So when it finally finished, all the ~9 hours of hard work I did on the game were gone!

It's INCREDIBLY frustrating having to do work that you've already done, and it's not nearly as fun doing it the second time around. I also wasn't really having a good day to begin with, so that was the icing on the cake. What a piss off.

Anyway, I'm doing all that work over again, and I'm hoping my crappy laptop can handle it until I'm able to like backup all my stuff and reinstall windows. The only upsides are this... 1) My partner Ansel (for a different game) had computer problems as well, and he also (probably) has to reinstall windows, so at least we're both on the same boat. Also, 2) At least I finished Little Wing before my computer decided to rape me.

Anyway, back to the drawing board...

I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet. I finally finished Little Wing (music video), so check it out on Snubby Land or Newgrounds! In the next little while I'll be putting it up on other sites, and like updating a whole bunch on our site, but as of now, uh... it's done so check it out!

And sorry again for releasing it a week late. Life it tough, sometimes.

Finishing Up Little Wing on 03.01.2009

So I know I said I'd have Little Wing done by March 1st, but I'm going to take a few more days to put the final touches on it. I've been really busy for the past little while getting caught up with school (seeing as I didn't end up dropping out) and spending more time with my girlfriend Phuoc, because I didn't see her for a while since I had Mono and she was really busy doing portfolios for university applications. By the way, I finally got around to taking and putting up a few pictures of us (and my dog Coozy) in the photo album, and here's an extra cute one below.



Anyways, expect to find Little Wing up on Newgrounds and Snubby Land in the next couple of days! I spent so much time on this project and I think it's going to show.

Little Wing... Almost... Done... on 02.08.2009

Well, I've been working on Little Wing for almost half a year now, and I'm trying to finish it by March 1st. So far for February I'm maintaining around a 4 hour/day average which is a lot considering I'm in school again, so it should be done by the deadline. We keep percentages of our progress on projects at the bottom of the work statistics, and for Little Wing I'm currently 84% done, having done 2:06 of animation over 3022 of the total 3617 frames.

So now that's it's almost done I've kind of been showing more people what I have so far and stuff, and it seems to be getting a pretty good response. I've just kind of got my fingers crossed that it does well on Newgrounds, just because I don't want to work on such a large project and then nobody sees it. Anyway, here's another screenshot of Little Wing, and there's more in the preview and a few in the photo album.



In other news, the game I'm making with Ansel is going pretty well. His computer got kind of messed up, so he hasn't been able to work on Flash for the past few days, but in general we're both working pretty fast, and it should be a pretty sick game. We're not revealing the name or any specifics, but here's a zoomed-in screenshot of some of the enemies coming in.

[Stevie] I'm still trying to finish Little Wing by March 1st, and I'm currently 73% done. I think I can still finish it by that time, but now I have to go back to school, because I have recovered from having Mono for three weeks. Eugh. Anyway, we thought we'd post a little bit of animation that you probably haven't seen, the unfinished Purple Stain project that Isaiah never finished, and another preview of Little Wing.

[Isaiah] I started Purple Stain wanting to make a good animation to the song. Over time I lost all motivation toward the project and the animation suffered greatly. I constatly hated working on it, so now I have decided to trash the project. I'm working on another one now, we might put a preview for that soon.
